How to Use
If you’re new to a FOREO LUNA device, here’s what you need to know about using your LUNA 4:
Bluetooth connects your LUNA to the FOREO app. Wet your face, apply your cleanser of choice to your LUNA 4, and press the start button. Circularly move the bristles of the LUNA 4 across your face until the built-in timer shuts it off. Rinse LUNA off your face, pat dry, and continue with your skincare routine.
Overall Design
Aside from looking stunning on my bathroom counter, the Luna 4 is incredibly sleek, functional, and downright entertaining to use as are all of the other models in the Luna 4 suite. It’s a two-in-one device with the power of a facial cleansing brush on one side and a pulsating, firming massager on the other.
Plus! no detail was overlooked: the silicone bristles on the cleansing brush side are bacteria-resistant, gentle on skin, and incredibly easy to clean (I simply rinse my device after cleansing, then stand it up to dry on my countertop).
Ease of Use
The facial massage side works like a supercharged gua sha. It is made of the same super soft silicone (with a raised, rippled texture to enhance the massage). This side emits low-frequency pulses to help lift and tone the skin, while the Luna 4’s oblong shape makes it simple to carve out puffy under-eye circles and chisel your cheekbones.
When serum is applied first, as recommended by the brand, the Luna 4 glides easily along the skin without any uncomfortable rubbing or tugging.
Results (Before & After)
To be honest, my results from using the Foreo Luna 4 shocked me (in the best way possible). I decided to see how much makeup and sunscreen would come off on a reusable cotton pad after cleansing without the Luna 4, and then again with the Luna 4.
As you can see, even after washing with my cleanser and my hands alone, there was still a significant amount of residue on my skin. Meanwhile, after the same amount of time cleansing with the Luna 4, not a single speck of makeup came off onto the micellar water-soaked cotton round on the right. My skin is definitely cleaner, clearer, and more radiant after consistent use.
Is it Worth it?
I have to admit that the Luna 4 looked nearly identical to my Luna 3 right out of the box. For sensitive skin, I chose the lavender-hued Luna 4. The sensitive skin model’s bristles are noticeably smaller than those on the normal and combo skin models, resulting in a gentler experience.
The size, colour, and app compatibility were nearly identical to the Luna 3. However, when it comes to technical specifications, the Luna 4 really shines so I think this is worth the upgrade.
